Ever tried to play cards out in the wild?
I call it a wild card.
Nothing at all that’s tame.
Out there playing the game.
It’s a jungle out there.
Why shouldn’t you play poker in the jungle?
Because there are too many cheetahs!
And other cool cats
That play a game tough,
You call your bluff,
Game ends a bit rough,
It’s a jungle out there.
To survive just one round,
Persist like a hound,
Flare of a forest hare,
As you deal a game of solitaire,
Fast, quick and remember to stare
Down your opponent all the way to cashing out
Trust me there is no helping out
It’s a jungle out there.
A jungle out there
Because the world is wide
And wild, like a tangled web,
World wild web.
We try and play by its rules
Find out that’s where it schools
Us in a game of 21, Blackjack or Go fish.
The game is over in a flash
Once the lion king rolls out the royal flush.
But play your cards right,
Left and centre,
Then you may have the full house!
House of cards…:)

Playing poker in the wild is not your ideal place to have a game. But is anything ever ideal? An ideal moment? An ideal opportunity? An ideal relationship? What we have more often than not is real situations presented that need real solutions and really proactive people. Isn’t that how we look at life as well? Poker and the jungle exist by a certain set of rules, which will vary from person to person. Tact. Strategy. Planning. Survival.
But for today I have these three rules: Adhere. Adopt. Adapt.
Adhere to the rules set. Adopt as many skills and tactics as you go along. Adapt to the ever-changing situation as it presents.
Remember, it’s a jungle out there…so go be the game changer!
